These are a pair of maps that I have been working on for quite some time now.
Ok, I admit that Too Much Flesh was built, tested, net tested, revised, tested, and net tested again all in one night. But Temple of Flesh I have been working on for half a year now.

A few things you should know

Temple of Flesh--

About the Aliens--
This level is hard. Very hard. There are a lot of aliens in this level, but that is not what makes it hard. This is not one of those, "there are so many aliens that it's impossible" levels. What is it then? Well, something about the layout of this level just seems to appeal to my aliens. I spent a lot of time analyzing where the aliens tended to cluster, and where they never went, and I wondered why. Truthfully, I never figured out why, but I figured out how to get them to really circulate through the level. I have designed some places such that they almost never go there.

About the Weapons--
There are enough weapons in Temple of Flesh to support 8 players. There are 2 SPNKR's, and only one TOZT. The TOZT is hidden. There is also one Alien Weapon lying around, and others can be taken from the Enforcer. (The only Enforcer in the game is initially trapped in a secret area, but he can shoot out at you. After he is killed the first time, he will regenerate in a random location.) The SSM most commonly regenerates in the room with the Juggernaut, (as I intended it to do.) The other one is located elsewhere. There are also Infravisions, Invincibilities, and Inivisibilities. All three are hidden.

About the Secrets--
There are 8 secret doors in Temple of Flesh, leading to 6 different hidden areas. 3 of these secret areas contain weapons or power-ups. The fourth is a great place from which to shoot the SSM and as such is loaded with SSM ammo. The last 2 hidden areas are passageways to the Hangar. In a net game, these are invaluble.

About Net Games--
I strongly advise against playing net games with the aliens on. There are a few who will show up initially, and they are meant to be there. The rest are really only intended for solo play, and will slow the net game down a lot. In a net game, you should seriously try to find the 2 secret areas leading to the Hangar. Initially, the Juggernaut that's there will keep people from staying there for extended periods of time, but once he's out of the way, someone can go down there and get the SSM, and stay there the entire game. I rather liked this effect, but it needed some way to be undermined. So there are two secret passages leading in, and sometimes, just sometimes, the SSM will appear elsewhere, allowing you to make quite a suprise entrance on the guy in the Hangar. Also, you will really want to find out where the TOZT is hidden. For two reasons, 1: it's one of the better weapons to have when roaming the upper halways, and 2: once everyone knows where it is, the coolest battles take place when everyone goes for it.

Notes on Too Much Flesh
This is a seriously fast paced level. It is one room, (not one poly mind you.) and everyone starts off on the outer platform. There are three raised platforms, all square shaped, with a deep pit seperating each of the platforms. There are 3 ways to get out of the Pits: be killed by another player, blast yourself out using two SSM missiles or one grenade at your feet if you can afford to lose half your life or are invincible, and sometimes the Bob's will help you out.

About the Aliens--
There are two very friendly Bobs trapped in the pits. Watch out for them when you are jumping from one platform to the next as the platforms are just high enough that you might trip on a passing Bob's head and fall in.

About the Weapons--
Most of the weapons are on the second platform, and some are in the pits, just in case you fall in very early on in the game. Almost all of the ammo is on the platforms. Sometimes some will appear in the pits, for those who are trapped.

About the Secrets--
You'll find more secret doors in a paper bag.

About Net Games--
As my friends put it, "Too Much Flesh" rocks. Make sure the aliens are on, and the game is on Total Carnage. (So you can just keep picking up weapons.) And watch your step.

PLEASE SEND ME YOUR REPLAYS! If you play any game, solo or net, I WANT THE REPLAY!
So send them all to SnowCrash@dartmouth.edu.

Also, if you really can't find the secret passages, mail me and I'll send you a replay showing them all.

Have fun!
